Meet The Team - Yarm Lane Dental Surgery

Qualified from Newcastle University Dental School in 1991 and did her post graduate training in London under a Member of the General Dental Council. She gained wide experience in private and NHS dentistry in two practices before joining Yarm Lane Dental Surgery in 1995. She became principal dentist in October 1996 and formed a partnership in May 2000 with Andrew Spivey.  The partnership is restricted to 2 full partners ; Jane Simpson and Andrew Spivey

Qualified from Newcastle University Dental School in 1991. He followed a full time hospital dentistry career in the field of oral and maxillo-facial surgery until 1994. From 1995-2000 he practiced general dentistry with specialist work in Surgical Dentistry in Durham and Darlington. He joined Yarm Lane Dental Surgery in May 2000 as a partner. He is also a registered specialist in oral surgery.

Joined our practice in 2008. Having qualified in 2000, she worked in general practice and hospital in India until 2004, when she came to the UK. Since then she has worked as a hospital dentist in the

specialities of orthodontics, oral and maxillo-facial surgery and restorative dentistry. In May 2006 she passed the postgraduate diploma M.F.D.S from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Miss K. Cook RDN - is Yarm lane Dental Surgery's Head Nurse . She joined the team in 2013 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2015. She attained the Diploma in Oral Health Education in 2019.

Miss E. Heslop RDN – joined the team in Nurse 2016 and qualified as a Registered Dental Nurse in 2018.

Miss J. Smith RDN - joined the team in 2017 and qualified as a Registered Dental Nurse in 2020  She attained the Diploma in Oral Health Education in 2021 and is studying at Teesside University to become a Dental Hygienist.
